It rained all day yesterday and I spent about 2 hours in my son's garden weeding. There were 6 of us all togther getting soaked. Later the gazebo was put up and son and daughter cooked a barbeque underneath it whilst it poured with rain above them! A good time was had by all. I'm still getting the hang of this grandma thingy.....

The list goes on ....blogging, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest. How to find the time to do it all?
Two days on the trot - must be a record. I told you I was detemined to continue doing this blog everyday whenever possible. I thought I'd show you my craft space today. The space that I make all my cards, daydream out of the window and be in my own little world of craft.
As the space is quite small I keep everything organised. My punches are in one draw, my embossing powders and heat gun etc in another. 6x6 & 8x8 Papers are stored away in the cupboard and I use a really useful wall file for my 12x12 papers.
I keep my ribbons stored in plastic guttering from the local DIY store.
Promarkers are all colour coded (to match Letraset Colour Chart) in a DVD rack from IKEA. Took ages to do but well worth it.
Buttons are stored in little spice jars, again fom IKEA and colour cordinated. I keep these on the window sill.

One huge event this year was the birth of a Grandson - Theo on the 9th April. A little bit early (six weeks premature) but he's doing really well and is growing every minute!
Holding Theo in the Baby Unit at the Derby Royal Hospital.
I Know, I know I've not blogged for ages. No excuses just been too busy doing other things to get around to blogging. But I'm back and this time I am determined to keep up the daily blog. I've been building up my Pinterest boards so go and take a look. Have made loads of cards and cakes since I last blogged. A few pictures of what I've been up to are below - Wedding Cake - first time doing a traditional 3 tiered cake so that was a huge challenge but really pleased with the result. A Teddy Bears Picnic Cake for my Grandaughter's 7th Birthday and a Dinosaur Cake for my friends son's Birthday. I've done lots of others over the past few months but these are my favourites.
Traditional Wedding Cake - 3 Tiered Fruit Cake
Teddy Bears Picnic - lots of fiddly bits!
Stegosaurus - tried to make it look lifelike. Sand is soft brown sugar There seems to have been lots of Weddings, New babies and Birthdays so have been making lots of new cards using lots different stamps and designs. Here are a couple of wedding Cards. The first one is from a Marianne design, Don & Daisy Stamp. I used Promarkers and then mounted onto mirror card, wedding paper and vellum. A liitle sparkle from some glitter adds the finishing touch.
The second card is a Fizzy Moon Stamp from the Wedding Bells range. I used promarkers, silver mirror card and ribbon.
One of the birthday cards I made was for my Brother who is a QPR fan so it was great to use a LOTV Stamp, using Promarkers in the QPR colours.
I use the range of LOTV stamps a lot as they are adorable, especially for little girls birthdays. I'l post some more cards later this month as I have a load of birthday cards to make.

Back to Blog Writing!

Well it's been a busy couple of months, some birthdays and celebrations. Have been very busy at work so have had very little time to devote to blog writing, card and cake making. I have brought a Sizzix Big Shot which is proving to be one of my best large craft buys ever. Whatever did I do without one?

It's been a sad time as well as my nephew sadly died on July 27th, he was only 19. So sad. I made cards for Sam,Tracy and Dave. Sadly Sam never got to see his. I contributed to his celebration of life by designing a presentation that was played at his funeral. It was a very moving service and it is hard to think that Sam has gone.

Thinking of You card I made for Dave and Tracy

Have started to prepare for Christmas by making a start on some cards today. Will upload some photos later
